There’s SNOW time like the present
During this cold, blustery season, we all must do our part to help one another and keep Amberleigh looking good. You can do that by helping to clear a sidewalk, removing snow from a car or parking space, and not taking a neighbor’s cleared spot. In my corner of Amberleigh, we pitch in and take turns clearing the sidewalks and each other’s porches, and share the load of clearing around vehicles. Even during these COVID times we join forces to get the job done.
In case you are wondering, our snow removal contract with Shenandoah Landscaping specifies that our community streets and parking areas will be plowed after 2 inches of snow has fallen. They may pre-treat when snow is forecast and barrels of sand are placed on the streets with significant slopes for residents’ use when it’s icy.
During bad weather, Trash Away may delay our trash collection for the safety of their crews and equipment. It’s important on blustery days to make sure to secure your trash and recycling materials. No one wants to find their yard filled with trash and other items so keep that in mind when setting things at the curb. After a windy spell, Amberleigh sometimes looks a bit worse for wear so please be a responsible neighbor and secure your trash.
A few other gentle reminders:
- Remove exterior holiday decorations within 30 days of the holiday.
- Yard signs larger than 2 sq. feet are not permitted; illuminated signs are not allowed; realtor signs are not to exceed 4 sq. ft. per Amberleigh’s resolutions.
- The dog park is for Amberleigh residents only.
- Vehicles parked in the RV lot must be registered with CAMP and the annual parking fee paid to avoid being towed.
Nice weather will be here before we know it but, in the meantime, stay warm and safe!
